About Our Farm
Our family has been in this business since the early 1960’s, when Sherrell and Jeannie Calhoun started owning and operating hog and cattle farms.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned in the last 60 years, it’s this:
People want to eat fresh, wholesome, locally grown foods raised by their friends and neighbors.
That’s why we opened Calhoun’s Custom Meats. To create a friendly and knowledgeable space for our customers to get the highest quality beef and pork products, straight from our Western Kentucky farms to your kitchen table.

Bourbon-Fed Is Better
We’re farmers at heart, and we strive daily to take care of our animals, the land, and the environment. By using quality feedstuffs generated by the bourbon manufacturing process for our pork and cattle, we can do all three.
We work with local production partners to source feedstuffs from the Kentucky bourbon industry. One taste of our premium, fresh Bourbon-Fed Beef and you’ll never go back to grocery store meat.
